Accessibility

Our ground floor is wheelchair accessible, with entry via a ramp to the left of the main entrance. The entire ground floor is level apart from a slight ramp leading into the Main Gallery. There are steps at the café entrance, but visitors may prefer to use the ramp and enter via the main entrance.

The galleries, workshop rooms, café and toilets are situated on the ground floor with wheelchair access. Baby change facilities are available. We welcome guide and hearing dogs.

Unfortunately our artist studios are only accessible via stairs.

If you have any suggestions on how to make your visit easier, please get in touch. We are happy to discuss any particular requirements for your visit, such as large print texts, audio guides, magnifiers, sensory ear defenders.

Phoenix Art Space is an approximately 10 minute walk from the city centre, and located close to London Road shops and the Level public park. It is opposite St Peters Church

The nearest multi storey parking is London Road Car Park.

There are a limited number of bookable parking spaces behind Phoenix. www.yourparkingspace.co.uk.

There is one blue badge space available directly behind the Phoenix building.

Phoenix is on the main bus routes, 5, 5A, 5B, 21, 21A, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 46, 48, 49, 50, N25. For up-to-date information on bus routes and times visit www.buses.co.uk

Brighton station is just 10 minutes’ walk away. Turn left out of the main station. Continue downhill along Trafalgar Street, cross the main roads passing in front of St Peter’s Church, then turn left. Phoenix will be on the right, in front of the traffic lights.

There are a large number of cycle stands near the Level, opposite Phoenix.
Gatwick Airport is approximately 30 minutes drive from the city centre, via A23 and M23. National Express Coach Company provides a regular service from the London airports to Brighton.

Canvas Coffee Co.

Our stylish coffee bar and arts café serves some of the best coffee in town, as well as a selection of sweet treats and light lunch options.

It’s a relaxing and creative space situated right in the heart of the community.

Families grab a quick bite to eat, friends meet over a coffee, colleagues call in to talk a little business, and our Phoenix artists drop in for a break from their studios.

Whilst you enjoy your food, you can also enjoy free Wi-fi.
