With carefully planned social distancing and safety measures in place, we are opening our doors and encouraging you to enjoy creativity. The creative courses programme offers an inspiring selection of courses – book here. In October the Photo Fringe 2020, exhibition will open, please book in advance. The changing displays of artwork by our Phoenix artists continues in the Window Gallery.

Creative Workspace Network

Launching 14 September 2020 at 10.30am. The objective of the network is to learn how to shape future support for both studio providers, studio groups and their artists. Join the launch via the CVAN ‘Power of Art’ webinar looking at studio providers here.

CASS support for emerging artists

This autumn we are delighted to welcome Hattie Malcolmson-Smith, our new Cass Art sponsored graduate from the University of Brighton School of Art. The award provides a free studio in Phoenix Art Space for a whole year. This opportunity to join our community of professional artists is a great first step for any artist embarking on a career in the arts, more info here.

Phoenix Friends

Join a unique
community of art lovers

Phoenix Friends will discover more about the contemporary art world through direct contact with studio artists and their work. Our diverse, year-round programme of Friends events offers glimpses behind-the-scenes with fascinating insights into creative processes and opportunities to meet talented studio artists based at Phoenix. You will also be supporting Phoenix Art Space’s important work in promoting creativity throughout the region.

I thoroughly enjoyed my last visit to the Phoenix for a weekend course particularly the friendly, welcoming & upbeat vibe. The cafe provided a fabulous hub of activity & a lively place to spend time. Delicious coffee too!
