Phoenix Brighton is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Davies as the new Executive Director. This is the first time Phoenix has had an Executive Director and Sarah’s appointment comes at a crucial point for the charity, with the launch of a new business plan and Phoenix’s upcoming expansion into Portslade.
Sarah joined Phoenix 3 years ago as Studio Manager, before taking on the role of Interim Executive Director earlier this year. She will take up the full-time role of Executive Director in January 2018, ensuring a smooth transition into the new year with the energy and vision to drive the ambition of the charity.
Jane McMorrow, Chair of Phoenix, said “Myself and all the Trustees are delighted with the appointment of Sarah as our first ever Executive Director. As Interim Director Sarah did a fantastic job and after a recruitment process we are thrilled that the stand out candidate got the job. We are all very much looking forward to working together to deliver our new business plan”.
Sarah said “I have always worked with artists in the cultural industry as well as in the corporate sector. I am passionate about engaging new audiences and finding creative ways of generating much needed income into the arts. I am looking forward to driving Phoenix forward to deliver ambitious projects and partnerships locally, nationally and internationally.”
