Alex Currie is a practicing photographer / artist working primarily with film using a large format camera. His work addresses issues of urban and industrial environment, looking at how this impacts on society and the individual. By photographing the spaces and infrastructure that surround us, he hopes to raise issues about poverty and conditions of the human psyche with the sociological implications this may have.
Semiconductor is UK artist duo Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt. Through moving image works they explore the material nature of our world and how we experience it through the lens of science and technology, questioning how they mediate our experiences. Semiconductor have been artists in residence at CERN, The Smithsonian Institution and The NASA Space Sciences Laboratories.
