_________________________________________________________________ A four-week partnership project between Phoenix Brighton and Bravo 22 Company culminates in an exhibition of new work by participants in the gallery. The Royal British Legion’s award-winning Bravo 22 Company is delighted to announce that it will be running its first ‘Recovery and Wellbeing through Art’ Project. Set up in 2014, the Bravo 22 Company was formed to help improve self-awareness, confidence, self-esteem and motivation in order to move wounded, injured and sick service personnel (WIS) along their individual paths to recovery. Following on from successful Theatre Projects that are now being rolled out nationally, The Royal British Legion, in partnership with The Drive Project and Phoenix Brighton, will be working with a group WIS personnel, veterans, and their family members, on model making, sculpture, and collage exploring the theme of recovery. “Creating art has brought me positive feelings of enjoyment and mental calm. It has given me a lifeline into a new world where I feel valued and challenged.” (Stewart Hill, British Officer and Artist) The Bravo 22 Company are looking for WIS, veterans, and their family members who are interested in taking part in this exciting new project. No previous experience in art is necessary! Just an interest in art and a desire to do something different. Details here.
