Online Graphic Novels, Real Life Stories 1

Ottilie Hainsworth
£70

This practical four-week course is designed to help you to begin to generate your own ideas for comic stories and characters. Working in sketchbooks you will be guided through weekly experimental drawing and writing tasks including mixed media, collage and visual or written improvisation. You will create a personal ‘ideas archive’ to delve into for future inspiration.

The course will be delivered using ZoomWhatsapp and email. Ottilie will speak to the whole class via a group chat on Zoom and give one to one feedback on work in progress or finished pieces via email. You can also send images of your work to the group via Whatsapp and receive feedback from fellow students. This creates a virtual experience very similar to that of an in-person creative class. Once signed up, you will be added to the Zoom group chat and Ottilie will guide you from there.

*By signing up to the course you are agreeing to share your name and phone number with Phoenix Art Space and this information will be passed on to Ottilie, the course tutor. Click here for more information on how we look after personal data.

Suitable for beginners as well as anyone who wishes to work on a personal project at home with support from the tutor.
