Online Evening Watercolour (April – May)

Emily Jolley
£60

Over 4 sessions Emily, the course tutor, will guide you through different watercolour techniques and approaches in preparation for painting and sketching out and about this summer with confidence. You will learn ways of applying layers and approaches to mark making that will enable you to create depth and perspective in your paintings. There will be time to play and experiment with the techniques and Emily will demonstrate as you go along and give feedback on your work in progress. At the end of the course you will have the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy creating your own watercolour landscape paintings.

The course will be delivered over Whatsapp / FaceTime (whatever is easiest for you), Zoom and Padlet. Emily will begin and end the session via a group chat on Zoom and provide written information about the session and share pre-recorded video demonstrations on Padlet. Members of the group will be able to post comments, ask questions and send images of their work via Padlet. Emily will give one to one feedback via Whatsapp / FaceTime. This creates a virtual experience very similar to that of an in-person creative class.

If you are beginner or just want to become more confident with watercolour then this course will help you enjoy, experiment and have fun with this versatile medium. Please note: this course is suitable for returning students, Emily will adapt the content so that you have new exercises to follow.

Once signed up, you will be added to the Zoom group chat and Emily will guide you from there.
Please note: by signing up to the course you are agreeing to share your name and phone number with Phoenix Art Space and this information will be passed on to Emily, the course tutor. Click here for more information on how we look after personal data.
