Life Drawing – Evenings
Working with a life model you will explore line, tone, texture, scale and composition, and the appropriate use of materials.
Suitable for all levels including beginners.
This course will look at life drawing using a range of dry and wet mediums. You will be encouraged to experiment and develop your approach to the figure using acrylic, oil, ink, charcoal, graphite, watercolour and pastel. Through a range of exercises that relate to the chosen media and with an emphasis on observation of the model we will explore line, tone, texture, scale and composition.
A limited range of basic materials will be provided to enable you to try out new media. However, you will be expected to bring your own specific choice of materials such as inks, watercolours, acrylics, pastels and oils as indicated prior to each session.
Carolyn has a BA Hons in Fine Art and MA in painting from Central Saint Martins School of Art. Carolyn has a broad experience in the teaching of art and design across both HE and FE sectors including ten years at Chelsea College of Art. Carolyn has exhibited in a number of galleries in both group and solo shows.
