Evening Life Drawing
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to practice life drawing this course will help you develop your observational skills and confidence. Working with a life model you will develop an understanding of proportion, space, light and tone, and the appropriate use of materials.
Through a series of drawing exercises and a mixture of short and long poses you will be encouraged to explore and develop your personal approach to drawing using a range of materials including charcoal, graphite, ink and wash. You will discover a range of expressive responses to the human form and environment.
All levels welcome.
N.B. No class 24 October and 7 November
Some basic materials and paper will be provided however it is recommended that students supplement these with their own preferences (suggestions include: a range of graphite pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, charcoal and craft knife).
Carolyn has a BA Hons in Fine Art and MA in painting from Central Saint Martins School of Art. Carolyn has a broad experience in the teaching of art and design across both HE and FE sectors including ten years at Chelsea College of Art. Carolyn has exhibited in a number of galleries in both group and solo shows.
