Virtual Family Fun: Instagram Live (Session 3)

About the Event

Join studio artist Jenny Staff for the third in our series of Virtual Family Fun workshops on Instagram Live. This workshop took place on Friday 16 April, but you can now watch the video back below and create alongside Jenny in your own time. Inspired by the Shifting Moments exhibition, Jenny will show you how to make your own camera obscura and capture the view from your window.

Our Family Fun workshops usually take place every month at Phoenix Art Space, they are free, drop in sessions suitable for families with children aged 5-14yrs. This series of Virtual Family Fun workshops will be broadcast monthly while our building is closed. If you miss the live workshop you can watch a recording later on the families page of our website.

For this workshop you will need the following materials and equipment:

  • Tube from stacking crisps like Pringles
  • Tracing or greaseproof paper
  • Tape (preferably masking tape)
  • Ruler
  • Pen
  • Craft knife (ask a grown up to help you with this)
  • Kitchen foil
  • Drawing pin or pair of compasses
