ABOUT

Geoff Hands has made a selection of landscape related abstract paintings that reveal his interest in both ‘place’ and studio practice. Locations include Cornwall, Wales and Sussex. Inspiration from close up experiences of intimate landscapes, including gardens, is favoured over vistas or distant views.

The works are developed in the studio with a keen interest in abstraction and improvisation aligned to the physical properties of paint and the potency of colour.

The title of the show is a comment made by the singer/songwriter, Neil Young during a concert many years ago and reveals a belief that an ongoing and developing body of work comes from one place and is constantly evolving.

Viewing is by booking only. Slots are between 1 – 5pm on Fridays
