REDEVELOPMENT PLANS: OPEN EXHIBITION & CONSULTATION

We are planning on undertaking a redevelopment of our building to ensure our long term survival, both as a provider of affordable studios for new and established artists and as a renowned regional centre for the arts.

Working with local architects RH Partnership we have developed a scheme which we are intending to submit for planning approval in late March. Our intention is to create a building that is accessible, welcoming, income generating and indicative of the creative activity that happens inside.

The scheme comprises a redevelopment of the ground floor including improving the gallery, creating an artists’ shop and cafe/bar, opening up the entrance to the building, installing a new lift in our existing lift shaft, refurbishing all existing windows and improving the facades at the front and back of the building.

We will be holding an open exhibition and consultation at Phoenix Brighton (FREE ENTRY) on: Fri 12 and Sat 13 Mar from 12 noon to 5pm both days.

Knowing about intellectual property rights can give you a real advantage when negotiating deals with your commissioners. This seminar will cover everything there is to know about copyright and how visual creators such as photographers, illustrators and fine artists can use IP to sustain their business and grow their reputation. The event is delivered in two modules.

Pecha Kucha Night Brighton is an exciting evening of 10 rapid fire presentations from people across the creative sector. Each presentation lasts just 6 minutes and 40 seconds, the presenters show 20 images, each one for 20 seconds.
