Acrylic Painting

You will experiment with acrylic painting and learn a wide range of acrylic techniques and mediums guided by a professional artist. This is a practical course for artists wishing to extend their knowledge of acrylic painting processes and further their creative possibilities. Each session will begin with a tutor led demonstration. Each week there will be a different theme, either abstract or representational, to work from in order for the student to discover for themselves the week's chosen technique. A brief constructive feedback crit will close the session. A materials list will be provided at first session.
Chris Gilvan-Cartwright studied painting and illustration at Central St Martins and has an MA in Fine Art from University of Brighton. He exhibits internationally and regularly with three London galleries. He is a well known illustrator, commissions include: Sunday Times, Penguin Books, over twenty children's books and the logo for BBC Proms.
