The Art of Colour

This course, on the art of mixing and combining colours, will look at the perception of colour, how light effects colour and the psychological meanings of colour. Working on various compositions you will learn to use hue, value and colour intensity to create harmonies and increase the expressive qualities of your work and become a great colourist. Basic materials will be provided and a list of suggested materials for purchase will be given out on the first class.
Theresa Sundt has been professionally involved with colour through teaching and art, mainly textiles, painting and illustration. Her contagious enthusiasm for colour broadened with a Colour Therapy diploma and for the last ten years she has been lecturing internationally on Colour Awareness for the corporative world, schools and holistic practices. Her book ‘the Art of Colour Therapy’ was recently published.
